The most important protective measure for the eye against laser radiation are the laser protection glasses. They serve to fully protect the eye against direct, reflecting or diffusely dispersed laser radiation according to the indicated wave length. Nevertheless, the direct view into the laser beam should be avoided. A good day light transmission of the laser protection glasses should be given so that the patient is able to see his/her environment also during the laser treatment.

The laser protection googles are subject to the norm EN-207 and need to bear the CE marking.
